A few tracks for those of you who don't want to spend $100+ on the new Immersion box set. I bought it yesterday (need to satisfy my obsession) & have been enjoying it immensely. I wish that it had more (a concert, or two, prior to the release of the album would help people understand how the album came together), but you can find quite a bit out there on bootlegs.
Disc 6 contains an early mix of Dark Side. Here's how the album opened, at one point in the process. Some significant differences are evident.
01 Breathe [In the Air - Early Mix]
Here's an excellent track that was part of the legendary Household Objects project, finally seeing some light of day (other than the sounds from Shine On.)
Enjoy!
Some great Dylan covers (and respective originals) for his birthday:
Cover by The Staple Singers, off of How Many Roads: Black America Sings Bob Dylan
A short, but excellent, post from Aquarium Drunkard.
The original version, from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.
Excellent rendition, by Suzzy & Maggie Roche, found on A Nod to Bob: An Artists' Tribute to Bob Dylan on His 60th Birthday.
Original, from The Basement Tapes.
A cover by Pieta Brown, daughter of Greg Brown. Beautiful version.
Original, from Time Out of Mind.
Enjoy.
"Remember a Day"
Awesome. "A Saucerful of Secrets," split up into two parts, old video. P.1

I'm starting to really dig this album. Here's the fourth track from As I Call You Down, a rippin' blues number. Enjoy.
I can't wait for tomorrow night's show at the X.
Two bootlegged tracks from the Nassau Colliseum show, 1980 NY. "He's not a very nice pig, but he's a big pig!" Enjoy.
Testing, testing... I meant to post this as Vox went away. To all those at Vox, thank you for the platform - thank you for the soap box..
It bewilders me how many people in this country seem to have forgotten how terrible our previous administration was. Comparing the current administration to socialism??? Please.
